NHS Compliant Employee Checking Service Launched

Control Risks Screening, the global employee background screening provider, today announced the launch of a new employee checking service which is compliant with the new NHS Employment Check Standards.

Following the revelation that all eight suspects in the London and Glasgow terror bombings worked in the NHS last year, Gordon Brown announced an urgent review of recruitment checks being performed on all NHS staff.  On 1st April this year the NHS as a result published revised guidance on recruitment – the NHS Employment Check Standards.

The new guidelines cover six areas of employee checking - registration & education, employment history, criminal records, health screening, ID verification and legal right to work -  all aimed at improving security. 

With many believing that the new employment check standards may increase already high workloads, and in many cases place increased pressures on recruiters, Control Risks Screening is offering a standardised employee screening service which is aimed at assisting NHS recruiters comply with the Employment Check Standards.
